So, I just got back from Amsterdam and it took us about 3 hours and a half to get there. It was quite okay. Nothing special, though. But the visit to my uncle's apartment where every student at his University lives was awesome. The place was so big and neat. His room was not that big and as we went inside, you could feel the Malaysian-ness already. We ate some Tomato rice, Lasagna and Apple crumble. They were all so good plus my uncle's cooking which was chicken and the rest, I could not remember. After feasting on some delicious food, my uncle followed us to Amsterdam which is another 1 hour and a half in the car.
As we arrived in Amsterdam, we straight went to the hotel to get some rest and especially for my father who have been driving the car from one country to the other. To kill off some time, I decided to watch Blood and Bone which is a really good movie and not to forget Up :) As the night falls, the adults which consists of Dad, Mom, Uncle and Grandpa decided to go to the famous Red Light District. It was actually my father's decision and had nothing to do with my very innocent Grandpa :D I begged my mother so that I could go with them but she obviously said no. And my Grandma was so worried about my Grandpa HAHAHAHAHAHA. So, as the adults went to Red Light District, we, the 'little children' had to watch the freaking television. And when they came back, my dad got a freaking ticket ! HAHHAHHAHHHA. What a way to finish up my day :)
The next day, we went to the place where there were lots of windmills, two factories where they produce the clogs and cheese. I sampled the cheese like I have not eaten anything for 2 years. I queued up the line for like 4 times. It was really good until the total amount of the cheese that we bought was nearly 100 euros. (96.60 euros to be exact) After all the cheese tasting, chese buying were done, we went to the fish market and they serve really good fish and chips or should I say 'Fisch und Pommes'. There, my mom's purse got stolen. Fucking Netherlanders. It was a gift from one of her best friends to match up the new handbag that her friends had bought for her. My mom was crying and was really worried that they would use the credit for themselves. Assholes ! So, after all the drama, we went to pay off my dad's ticket. Then, we were off to Germany. Overall, I think that the Netherlands trip was great, minus the fact that my mom's purse got stolen.
Now, I am off to pack my stuffs up for London tomorrow.
HAHAHAHHAAHA. I am finally blogging again. I am here, trying to figure out the best reason to give readers why I have not blogged for the past few months.
1. I am really lazy to update the blog. 2. i have no time. 3. I have not thought about reason 3 yet.
So, the main reason that I am blogging again today is that, I am living in another country, which is Germany and some of my friends in Malaysia wants to know what is my life like here. Here is what had happened for the last 3 months since I am her in Germany.
When I arrived in Germany, I did nothing except for unpacking my stuffs and sitting in front of the computer. And, during the evening, I have to do some exercises as when I reached here, they were all having their summer break which lasted about one and a half month. The first few months here, in Germany, have been hell for me as doing all does exercises and essays were really boring and depressing. And at the same time, I wished that at that very moment, I could be in school, learning at least something new and meet new friends and the students there would just wish that summer holidays could last forever.
My current school is called International School Hannover Region (ISHR) and their famous mascot or an animal that would best describe the school is the MUSTANGS ! Here is the website if you want to see it : www.is-hr.de . I play for their varsity football team and have helped them win friendly matches against other international schools and the best result that we came out with is 9:1 against the Berlin International School. Are we good or what ? And now, I am just waiting for the big tournament that is going to be held in Munich in November.
Tomorrow is the last day for me as we have the October break or as we call it, the autumn break. I think it is about 2 and a half weeks long. And the way that I am spending my time during the holidays is, I am going to go to the Netherlands to visit my uncle there which he is doing his PhD. And after that, I am off to LONDON ! Staying there most probably about one week. It is going to be great, I can just smell it ! :)
I think that I am picking up on my german. I know some of the swear words and of course, the proper words that I really need to learn. And I think that my Bahasa Melayu have gone worse as I do not really use that language here. Sorry Malaysia !
I think that's about it for today, I guess. I need to catch some sleep as it is 10 at night here and I have to wake up at 630 every morning to go to school. Well, see you guys later.
Auf Wiedersehen ! (told you that I am picking up on my german !)
